Mark Guberman
Guberman Mark was born in the Soviet Union, brought up and educated in Poland, lives in Israel since 1969.His father, an artist himself, introduced him to the world of art, and was his first mentor.
He lives in Kiriat Motzkin, and creates in an Artists' Workshop in Gesher Haziv among artists who came there to work together. The pastoral view of the Galilee is a real inspiration.
In the beginning, his style was rather realistic, mostly landcapes.His first exhibition (1978), presented works on small ceramic tiles with enamel paints oven fired. Landscapes of Israel and the historical sites such as Jerusalem and Acre were a major source of inspiration for his works....In the mid eighties, he fell in love with the surrealistic style, due to the influence of Shmuel Bak - the well known artist.
The essense of existence, religion and faith are reflected on his works. 1994 was another turning point in his artistic way. His works became much larger and bigger due to the influence of Doron Bar-Adon, the Abstract style has come to the fore.
He is a member of the Israeli Painters & Sculptors Association.
