GUERNICA...
Commune de Biscaye, capitale historique et spirituelle dans la communauté autonome du Pays basque en Espagne. Son Nom officiel Basque est Gernika-Lumo, en Espagnol Guernica Y Luno. Particulièrement connue le 26 avril 1937 pour sa destruction, par les aviateurs de la légion Condor envoyés par A. Hitler afin de soutenir le général Franco. En effet, au plus vif de la guerre d'Espagne, le 26 avril 1937, jour de marché,
quatre escadrilles de la légion Condor de l'aviation Allemande, viennent soutenir le général Franco, protégé par des avions de chasse italiens, ils procèdent aux bombardements de la ville de Guernica. L'attaque commence à 16 h 30, par des bombes explosives, puis à la mitrailleuse pendant plus de trois heures, pour finir en 'lâchant' quelque cinquante tonnes de bombes incendiaires. Les derniers avions quittent alors le ciel de Guernica vers 19 h 45. À la suite de ce bombardement, un cinquième de la ville était en flammes et l'aide des pompiers de Bilbao se révèlent inefficace. Le feu se propagea aux deux tiers des habitations. Ce bombardement a inspiré notamment l’Artiste Pablo Picasso dans une de ses œuvres les plus célèbres et des plus connus au monde réalisée en huile sur toile de style cubiste entre le 1er mai et le 4 juin 1937 à Paris, en réponse à une commande du gouvernement républicain de Francisco Largo Caballero pour le pavillon Espagnol de l'Exposition universelle de Paris de 1937. GUERNICA représente la dénonciation engagée de tous les bombardements dans le monde. C’est le symbole de la violence et de l'horreur de la guerre en général. Si les États font la guerre aux autres États, pas aux individus ni aux familles qui les composent, ce sont toujours les peuples ‘INNOCENTS’ qui subissent les atrocités et les conséquences...

SHIFT OUR GAZE BY LEAVING THE FOCUS ON OUR WESTERN NAVEL...

Yes, I am in the habit of shifting my Works/Canvases in relation to my Frames.

I deviate them to invite us to pay attention to what we are used to seeing.

By changing our gaze,

we can discover things that we do not perceive by keeping our blinders on.

It is also true that I am a Visual Artist

who never frames my Works/Canvases.

My CONTEMPORARY ART(1) is like its creator,

similar to INDIGENOUS ART(2)...

FREE. Neither framed by anyone, nor framed by anything.

Our TILTED PLANET...

Since 2020, events have definitively changed the face of the World and

it is precisely during this time that I have devoted these four years to my research,

in order to create the supports for my Works/Canvases.

By looking into the question,

the answer to the enigma was there before my eyes and by looking more closely...

in THE SHIFT VISION,

more precisely... in the retina of the eye with its Cones and Rods.

Indeed, like many of us, when searching for a question...

Instinctively, I tilted my head to the right then to the left.

This is how I found the solution and inspiration for my
