Tired Army photographer. Having witnessed so much ugliness in the world, i aim to fill my view with the beauty of life now...
As military photography is documentary and journalistic in nature, the events and subjects are often, not always, dramatic, traumatizing, and depressing. There is also a "PR" and propaganda component to this kind of photography that doesn't allow for personal creative expression and personal agendas. Its purpose, after all, is to protect the reputation of the relevant army or defence force.
Still, as an artist at heart, a photographer, a "painter of light", i do wish to express myself creatively for my own selfish purposes. And so, i picked a subject that is as far away from "military" as possible.
Whereas everything in the military is serious, ugly, or dangerous, the female form is the opposite in every respect. In order to replace the ugliness of the world witnessed and captured, etched into my mind over the years, this new pursuit will be therapy.
