Marion Wood is a British artist currently residing in Ventura County, Southern California. She studied at Oxted School, Moorpark College, and the California Art Institute, and received private training from master painter Bobbie Moline-Kramer. Marion has exhibited solo shows across Los Angeles and Ventura counties and has earned numerous juried awards. Her work is widely collected in both the United States and Great Britain, with pieces included in the collection of Stanford University.

Currently an artist-in-residence at Studio Channel Islands in Old Town Camarillo, California, Marion draws inspiration from the blank canvas and the purity of the painting process. Growing up in the English countryside, she spent rainy days honing her drawing and painting skills, eventually developing her unique artistic voice through constant experimentation.

Marion’s creative process involves painting large canvases with no premeditation, using her whole body to interact with the materials. Her work explores the balance between order and chaos, joy and pain, leaving visible gestures like drips, flows, and strikes for viewers to observe. Each piece is a raw, unfiltered expression of the moment, reflecting a deep conversation between the artist and her materials.
