Née en 1976 à Lille, où elle fera des études à l'école d'art appliqués de Roubaix, ESAAT. Elle continue son cursus à l'ecole d'art Bellecour de Lyon. Après près de 20 ans dans la communication, Marie reprend ses pinceaux en 2020, et retourne aux Beaux arts de Lyon.
Dans son travail tout commence par une quête : celles des livres oubliés, des pages jaunies, des fragments de récits. Marie Renaud les chine avec soin, arpentant marchés, librairies poussiéreuses, et greniers. Ces vestiges littéraires, souvent destinés à l'oubli ou au recyclage, retrouvent une nouvelle vie sous mes mains. Ces pages ne sont pas choisies au hasard. Les textes ne sont pas de simples supports, ils inspirent, orientent et nourrissent son processus créatif.
C'est un dialogue entre passé et présent, entre immuable et l'éphémère.
Le modèle vivant, toujours féminin et nu, est souvent au cœur de son travail. La nudité n'est pas seulement esthétique; elle est une célébration de la vulnérabilité, de la puissance, et de la beauté brute du corps.
Chaque tableau raconte une histoire : celle de la femme représentée, mais aussi celle du livre, de ses récits et des mains qui l'ont tenu avant l'artiste.
Les œuvres de Marie Renaud ne cherchent pas à figer le temps mais à le superposer, à entrelacer des vies, des époques, et des émotions. Ils se mêlent à son propre langage artistique.
