Her paintings reflect her impression of the city's purified, purely architectural vision, where the human being vanishes from the city after having created it. She was passionate about architecture and devoted most of her paintings to the city. Garrigues seeks isolation in a hyper-urbanized setting through her paintings, and the perspectives she likes to portray are many bridges from the material to the ethereal.

Marie France Garrigues was born in 1958, in France. She is a member of the Taylor Foundation, the Salon d'Automne and the Salon Violet. The Artist was selected by the Académie Jacques Boitiat to take part in the 58th Grand Prix de Barbizon, Saturday October 12, 2024.
