Née en 1953 à Rabat, Marie-Céline Chottin est un peintre contemporain dont le succès est reconnu. Son père était professeur d'arabe classique et Directeur du Conservatoire National de Rabat. Elève à l'école des Beaux Arts de Rabat de 1963 à 1970, elle suit les cours de l'atelier publicité pendant 2 ans de 1970 à 1972 à l'Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs de Marseille Luminy. Son arrivée à la Baule en 1975 la positionne en tête des peintres émergents de sa génération. En 1999, elle s'installe à Ajaccio. L'île de beauté lui inspirera nombre de toiles. Aujourd'hui encore, elle exerce son art et produit une belle quantité d'oeuvres. Son style est apparenté aux impressionnistes dont elle se réclame. Elle pratique la peinture à l'huile, l'acrylique, la peinture céramique à froid. Des couleurs douces et vives, un coup de pinceau maîtrisé, cette artiste s'est déjà essayée aux NFT. Tous les sujets l'inspirent, elle est une portraitiste accomplie et une peintre animalière très prisée.
