Marie Caffaro was born in Nanterre (France) in 1958. She spent her childhood in Agen (France) and Bessancourt (France), very close to Auvers-sur-Oise (France), in the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh.
His gaze is sharpened during the pictorial exhibitions that abound in the region, nonchalant strolls in the small streets of this Mecca of Impressionism.
She studied drawing, perspective, the "geometry of colors" in the studio of the artist Michel Fillette. Then, she turned to artistic studies and enrolled at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris.
Her own breadcrumb trail is the living model. During walks, she unearths a modeling workshop and discovers a new passion. Then, it is the sea which reveals a new facet of her talent to her, she transposes the spring on her canvases by painting the softness of the landscapes in oil.
Marie Caffaro has presented her work at numerous exhibitions: Salon National de Franconville (France), Château Conti in L'isle-Adam (France), at the Galerie du matin calme in London (Great Britain) and in New York ( USA)...
