Marianna Lourba, born in Athens in 1980, is a contemporary artist and designer. She holds an undergraduate degree in Art & Design from Middlesex University, London, and completed her postgraduate studies in Visual Communication and Design at the IED (Instituto Europeo di Design) in Milan.
Lourba has made significant contributions to the art world through her participation in 20 group exhibitions and five solo shows globally. Her exceptional talent has been recognized by numerous prestigious cultural organizations and companies, including the DESTE Foundation and Mont Blanc, earning her various distinctions and awards.
Since 2012, she has collaborated with the Benaki Museum’s Art Shop, where her art object series have become part of the permanent collection. Lourba has been an influential educator, teaching Art & Design at a private college in Athens since 2013. Concurrently, she serves as the Creative Director of Apolyto Creative Spot, a contemporary art workshop, fostering creative expression and innovation.
Her works are held in important private collections both in Greece and internationally, reflecting her global impact and recognition. Lourba's dedication to her craft and her ability to blend visual arts with design have made her a significant figure in the contemporary art scene. She continues to live and work in Athens, contributing to the vibrant cultural landscape of the city.
