The original works of Maria C Bernhardsson are influenced by the architecture and geometry of houses. Born in Sweden, Bernhardsson travels the world photographing and drawing houses for inspiration for her watercolors on paper. His paintings include a subtle layering of colors and shadows of houses, streets and monuments, sublimating them into an abstract urban landscape.
During her stay in Antibes, she created a set of original works, drawing inspiration from the Cathedral, the alleys, the effects of light on the houses of the old town and… the Galerie du Faune.
