Born in Toulouse in 1962, Marc LASSERRE, after living for around fifteen years in the Paris region where he exhibited notably on the Champs-Élysées and in the Latin Quarter, set up his workshop in Marseille and then today ;now in the Verdon where he has withdrawn from the large metropolises.
This artist came to art first through photography, then through wood sculpture. Painting has only imposed itself on him since the 2000s. Now listed by Drouot quotation and appearing in the famous AKOUN dictionary, Marc Lasserre accentuates his work towards lyrical abstraction under the influence of the works by the Franco-Chinese painter ZAO WOU-KI.
