Maral Der Boghossian is a contemporary Lebanese artist. City landscapes and suburbs are the subject of her work. She started by painting in oil which gave radiance, dynamism, and richness to the color. She liked acrylic for her most recent paintings because of how quickly it renders. The main landscape painter of the Barbizon school of the middle of the 19th century, Jean Baptiste Camille Corot, had a significant influence on the lighting and shadows that she used in her painting to depict the façade of erected structures. The artist employs a fluid and refined technique to produce the same results.
Maral Der Boghossian was born in 1976, in Paris. She lives and works in Lebanon, where she graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture of the Lebanese University.
