The history of the Gorgon is interesting. She was a beautiful but not immortal girl, she played pranks and received a punishment. The conclusion is simple - the power of the gods must be treated with respect. Otherwise they will turn their hair into a serpent and send them to the island in the darkness of the caves. My name is Maksym Kulykov, and I am a Ukrainian artist. I invite you into my world—a world of thoughts and dreams, experiences, and harmony. My works are an exploration through colors and textures, an attempt to answer the question: What is life? For me, it is the paths we walk, the lines and splashes, the bright moments we create.

In my art, I use the technique of "controlled chaos"—paint splashes, broad strokes with brushes, and palette knives. At first glance, it may seem like a chaotic combination of shapes and lines. Just like in real life, we strive to control everything, but ultimately, we become part of the spontaneity that shapes our existence.

I aim to infuse this process with energy and freedom, allowing me to intuitively transform ideas into forms through the natural movement of paint on paper. I focus on inner sensations, textures, colors, and interaction with space, creating works that are not only visually captivating but also evoke an emotional resonance.

My paintings are a journey I want to share with viewers. I work on paper using acrylic paints and ink, combining them into harmonious or contrasting compositions that invite reflection and immersion into personal feelings.
