I started painting at the age of 20, by stretching a sheet over a homemade frame, and taking house paint from stock in the garage.

Since then, I have not stopped painting, according to a need that was felt; need for materials, mixing and colors, contact of brushes on the canvas.

I am self-taught, even if I finally followed a painting workshop for 3 years at the Beaux Arts in Grenoble, after 20 years of personal work and a G.R.A.A.L. prize, received during my participation in a competition for young creators in 1993.

Painting is for me a way of expressing things that I do not always manage to say with words.

It is the result of what has matured unconsciously, and which finally takes shape as I go along. I am just a desire for colors and shapes, I bring out an emotion, an energy on the canvas.

I prefer to use acrylic, mainly for a question of drying times. My way of painting requires rapid drying because it is often a one-shot job, without retouching.

For 6 years now, I have oriented my work towards collage, both on canvas, plywood or paper. The working methodology is a little different, since I start from a piece of cutting, therefore from an existing visual fragment, to construct a more or less homogeneous or deconstructed content, a parallel world often dreamlike, sometimes defying the laws of gravity or pointing out the contradictions of today's society.
