Maaike Plugge is a notable Dutch artist, born in March 1999, who currently resides in Zwolle. Plugge’s artistic talent encompasses both painting and illustration, and in 2022, she graduated from ArtEZ University of the Arts. In 2023, she joined the renowned art collective ‘Beeldkeuken’.

Plugge’s art is a reflection of her exploration of both the inner self and the external world. Her approach to art is poetic, yet she also incorporates a comical perspective. She experiments with various materials and textures, such as paint, pencil, ceramics, and more, to discover how they react and complement each other. Plugge’s intuition is the foundation for the composition, colors, and overall appearance of her artwork. Her art is not complete until it feels finished.
