there’s a phenomenon called synesthesia, where senses cross and you can “hear” colors or “see” music. this piece was made while listening to a track by a close friend, an azerbaijani dj, and translating that sound into shape and color. it was pure play—fluid ink, warm washes, no sketching, just response.

Watercolor

Watercolor is a painting in which gum arabic binds transparent pigments revealing the support of the painting. The gouache, of identical composition, is opaque.
