Je vous invite à aller voir mon portefolio Luxsteel pour voir comment j’ai entaillé la poutre pour y faire deux fentes dans lesquelles je voulais glisser les disques en verre. The design of this lamp beam was very physical because it was heavy and solid. It took me several months to make it. More than ever, I am fascinated by the combination of contrary materials like glass, metal and light.
I invite you to have a look at my Luxsteel portfolio to see how I cut the beam to make two slots in which I wanted to slide the glass discs.

It was in 2017 that I began to want to work with materials that were opposite in terms of their materials, following joint work with visual artists. So when the idea of making lamps was born, it was first and foremost the desire to make work around metal, with the idea that I could work with large pieces of this material and then be able to associate them with opposing materials such as glass.  - Attracted by paradoxical associations, I tried to make an alliance. Light could be the third party that allowed this glass/metal combination to coexist. From there, the idea of a lamp was born, as the lamp is one of the most important domestic objects that can be easily transformed into a plastic art object. In all creative work, we put a part of ourselves, our way of being in the world.

- I feel divided and I try to synthesise, so it is with pleasure that I let myself be drawn into the search for a unity between the different materials without wanting to deny their particularities. Not wanting to exclude any of the contradictory parts of these objects that I love as much in their unity as in their antagonistic elements, I tried through the action of creation to transform oppositions and complementarities, to join the top and the bottom, the darkness and the light, to create an "between" heaven and earth...
