Luigi Rossanigo

Luigi Rossanigo nasce nel 1948 a Pieve del Cairo nella bassa Lomellina dove Lombardia e Piemonte si compenetrano per orografia,storia e cultura.Quì vive tutt'oggi e vi lavora.
I primi approcci con la pittura e in misura minore con la scultura sono della metà degli anni '60 e i soggetti sono figurativi. Pochi anni e dai primi '70,si orienta verso l'informale,avviando quella ricerca spaziale i cui esiti si avranno vent'anni più tardi. Per il resto degli anni '70 dopo una breve esperienza "poverista"e per tutto il decennio'80 la sua attenzione è verso lo sviluppo di temi surrealisti sia in pittura ,sia in grafica ,sia in scultura ,con risultati lusinghieri per originalità e chiarezza segnica.
A partire dall'89 la frequentazione di artisti carraresi (Luciano Massari in particolare)lo orienta decisamente verso la scultura. Di lì la acquisita dimestichezza con le masse scultoree fa sì che riprenda gli antichi discorsi di manipolazione della tela che hanno prodotto l'attuale filone espressivo in cui i linguaggi della pittura e della scultura si compenetrano.

Luigi Rossanigo was born in 1948 in Pieve del Cairo in the lower Lomellina, where Lombardy and Piedmont interpenetrate by orography, history and culture. He lives there and works there.

For the rest of the '70s after a short "poverty" experience and throughout the decade of '80 his attention was focused on the development of Surrealist themes both in painting and in graphics, both in sculpture, with gratifying results for originality and clarity of signs.
Starting in 1989, the attendance of Carrarese artists (Luciano Massari in particular) decided him decisively towards sculpture. From there the acquired familiarity with the sculptural masses causes the ancient discourses of manipulation of the canvas that have produced the current expressive strand in which the languages ​​of painting and sculpture interpenetrate.
