Biography
I graduated in painting Higher degree at the IKO Art Academy in Hoogstraten.
I have drawn and painted all my life. My mother painted, my father was a transporter. I myself am a perfect mix of both: a petrolhead and a painter.
In my studio I paint pop art in acrylic and oil paint. I also like to experiment with spray cans (street art), or mixed media and epoxy resin… or use vinyl records as a canvas.
A challenge doesn't scare me off. I therefore often participate in competitions or assignments, as well as fairs and exhibitions.
I have a thing for images from memory, with or without humor. The images are figurative and recognizable, but not according to reality. Rather bright colors and graphic design…
My passion for oldskool motorcycles, oldtimers, vintage racing and pinups, transport and travel in the past are often reflected in my works. Music is also a passion, where lyrics or titles are a source of inspiration for me. Own models are depicted in their own composition, with or without a humorous touch.
