In 1978, he moved to Berlin and joined the "Neue Wilde" art movement, characterized by an expressive and impulsive style. Together with Salomé, he formed the avant-garde punk band Geile Tiere.
In 1989, he settled in Paris, experimenting with the camera obscura and rotating paintings that lack a fixed orientation. His works explore themes related to the body, gender identity, and sexuality, challenging traditional norms through performative self-portraits. His contribution to the "Neue Wilde" movement and his ongoing exploration of identity and representation make him an influential figure in contemporary art.
