I’ve always been fascinated by the strange and unusual, and I found even random lines and shapes to be highly stimulating to my imagination. It’s no surprise that I fell in love with the mysterious source of subconscious mind. Since everyday life is filled with uncontrollable amounts of external stimulators and stress that can’t be fully acknowledged, subconscious seems to be the place that mixes all into a source of material, waiting to be expressed. Diving into it removes the struggle of getting ideas but entering to those unexplored parts of the mind is the most exciting. Allowing your mind to be free and relaxed can be hard. But craving for uniqueness and highly imaginative spontaneous expression, I make room for subconscious to kick in. By making organic connected shapes I get my brain to meditative state, which enables me to reach for the unknown and express what emerges from experience. Only because of aesthetic sense and the importance I give to the composition I allow myself to influence the process with guiding it into making something that my brain recognizes as a creature with body and face.
