Based in Spain, "LLicop" is a self-taught Belgian figurative artist influenced by his own practice of comics, current events drawing, and also a taste for beautiful things. He loves the idea that a single image shakes the viewer, awakens their thoughts, and provokes their reflection. As Napoleon said, a sketch is worth a thousand words. Challenged by current events, he enjoys cultivating the impertinence essential to any democracy. Like a famous author of fables, he also sometimes uses animals that he shapes to better convey his art. Concrete and figurative, he happily paints beautiful people and objects.
