Un univers onirique mêlant absurde et réflexion de Lionel Morateur . On y découvre un personnage à l'allure d'un vieux sage, portant un masque chirurgical, symbole omniprésent de notre époque marquée par la pandémie. Le contraste saisissant entre son apparence sage et ses yeux écarquillés, emplis de stupeur, ajoute une couche d'ironie à la composition.
Au premier plan, l'élément central est un poisson rouge dans son bocal à moitié immergé. La position du poisson, entre les mains du personnage, rappelle le lien fragile et précieux entre l'homme et la nature, une thématique récurrente dans l'art contemporain.
L'aspect ventriloque est suggéré par l'ouverture exagérée de la bouche du personnage, située curieusement au niveau de sa barbe. Cela crée une distorsion surréaliste qui défie les conventions de l'anatomie humaine, rappelant les méthodes iconoclastes de Salvador Dalí et les jeux de perspective de les œuvres surréalistes.
Par ailleurs, le masque chirurgical, élément anachronique dans un cadre qui pourrait sembler d'une époque révolue, invite à une réflexion sur notre condition actuelle et notre rapport à la santé et à la protection.
