Lili Fijalkowska is a contemporary Polish artist born in Kiev. She graduated from the Fine Arts High School in her hometown before pursuing further studies at the Moscow Art Academy, where she specialized in graphics under the guidance of renowned Russian graphic artists Professor A. Gonczarov and Professor W. Lachov. After completing her diploma, she moved to Poland in 1974, where she has since developed a diverse career in fine arts.
In Poland, Fijalkowska has established herself as a versatile artist. She paints, illustrates books, and designs graphic logos, calendars, and posters. Her work has been featured by several notable publishers, including Wydawnictwo Szkolne i Pedagogiczne, Krajowa Agencja Wydawnicza, Książka i Wiedza, Interpress, Kaliope, and Słowo Żydowskie. Additionally, she has collaborated with organizations such as DESA, Plastyka, and Wzór.
Fijalkowska's artistic practice also includes ceramics. She was a member of the Keramos group from Warsaw and the Nie Tylko My group from Wroclaw. Her work in ceramics earned her the first prize at the IV Biennale of Polish Ceramics in Walbrzych in 1985 for her piece titled "Hebany." In 1987, she was honored with an award from the chairman of Plastyka for her artistic achievements.
As a member of the Union of Polish Fine Art Artists, Fijalkowska has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions. Her works are housed in private collections across Poland, Germany, France, Holland, the USA, Israel, and Canada.
From 1996 to 1999, Fijalkowska served as the Audio Visual Recording Program Coordinator for Steven Spielberg's Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, contributing to the preservation of testimonies from Holocaust survivors.
