Leonardo Montemanni is a contemporary Italian painter. Montemanni had his fateful meeting with Graffiti in 1988. The first pioneers, like him, saw graffiti as a secret and fascinating culture that carried the seeds of a multi-ethnic and cultural worldview beneath a fresh and emerging expressive code.

Montemanni successfully overcame the obstacle with the spray can because he has a natural talent for painting. He quickly gained recognition as a key figure in the Italian aerosol-art movement and literally burns steps in the underground environment.

He organized numerous cultural and artistic initiatives across Italy in the early 1990s. The Italian graffiti movement was expanding quickly, in part because of individuals like Leonardo Montemanni, who was one of the leaders in bringing the use of spray to an aerographic level.

Leonardo Montemanni was born in 1971, in Asmata, Eritrea. He graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Italy.
