Lekim Ibragimov is a contemporary artist and professor, recognized as an Honorable Member of the Russian Academy of Arts and a member of the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Uzbekistan. His distinctive artistic style blends painting, drawing, and calligraphy, harmonizing Eastern and Western cultural heritage with elements of modernism, poetic symbolism, classicism, abstractionism, and surrealism. This fusion creates a unique, deeply expressive body of work.
Ibragimov has exhibited his art globally, with personal exhibitions in countries such as Luxembourg, India, Germany, France, the USA, Japan, South Korea, and China. His work has been showcased at prestigious events, including the UNESCO exhibition in Paris (1996), and the Florence Biennale (2023), where he received a special commendation from the President.
His paintings are held in prominent museums and galleries worldwide, including the State Museum of the East in Moscow, the Museum of East Asia in Budapest, and the State Museum of Art in Tashkent. In addition to his painting career, Ibragimov has also published a book of poems with illustrations, which is housed in the Louvre Library collection.
Ibragimov’s artistic contributions, spanning decades, reflect his mastery of both traditional and modern techniques, bridging cultural divides and evoking universal themes of beauty and symbolism.
