It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.
Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

In Greek mythology Alcyone, daughter of Aeolus (king of the winds), found her husband drowned and cast herself into the sea. The gods rewarded her devotion by turning her into a kingfisher, and Aeolus forbade the winds to blow during the "Halcyon Days" (the seven days before and the seven after the winter solstice, when legend has it that the kingfisher lays its eggs).
This Kingfisher is painted in oils with fine brushes. The background is gold acrylic which shimmers in the light.

The artist has lived in several different countries including France, Spain and Mexico which have influenced her colour palette as well as her subject matter. She now lives in Devon on the edge of Dartmoor and is particularly interested in the practise of mindfulness in the creation of her paintings. She says “ to empty my mind and allow the power of life to flow through my artwork brings a new energy which is at the same time dynamic, peaceful and up-lifting".
