Gia Mekvabishvili

Was born on January 4, 1968, in Tbilisi, Georgia.
1983-1987, Studied at the Tbilisi I.Nikoladze Art School, Painting Faculty.
1987-1992, Studied at the Tbilisi State Art Academy, Painting Faculty.
Since 2000- is the member of the Artists’ Union of Georgia.


2014, Solo Exhibition Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts
2013, Participated in group exhibition within the scope of “Artisterium” that took place at the exhibition hall “Underwheel” in “Mtatsminda Park” Tbilisi, Georgia.
2013, Participated in the project “Batumi Back Yard Stories” Batumi.
2011, Solo exhibition was organized in Basel, Switzerland.
2010, Solo exhibition took place at the French Institute affiliated with the Embassy of France.
2010, Participated in group exhibition at the gallery “Hobby”, organized together with the 1987 graduates of the I.Nikoladze Art School.
2007-2008, Cooperating with “Art Villa Garikula” Georgia. Participated in group and individual exhibitions
2003, Solo exhibition was organized in Toulouse, France.
2003, Solo exhibition took place in Philadelphia, USA.
1992-1993, Worked in Greece in cooperation with art gallery “Tsourkas”. Participated in group and individual exhibitions in the city of Thessaloniki and Athens.
1989, Participated in group exhibition at the I. Chavchavadze Museum in Tbilisi.

His works are kept in the private collections in Georgia as well as in different countries of the world.
