Officially, the first person to introduce the infinity sign into the scientific field is John Wallis, a mathematician from England who lived in the 17th century.
In philosophy, the symbol has been known since the times of scientists such as Pythagoras, Plato and Aristotle. Each of them tried to figure out what the infinity sign means. They believed that it demonstrates the cycle of events, infinity, constant development and rebirth. By the way, there is a version that the symbol came to Europe from India, where they believe in reincarnation - the ability of the soul to reincarnate. And this version also has a right to exist.
MAGICAL PROPERTIES OF THE INFINITY SYMBOL
Since ancient times, the symbol of infinity has been present in the cultures of different countries and peoples. It can be found in ancient drawings, paintings, outfits and amulets. But what’s surprising is that it is interpreted differently:
In Tibetan culture - as a unification of the beginning and the end, two natural foundations.
In Europe - as a divine sign, because eight is considered the number of God, and retains its meaning even in a horizontal position.
In Greek culture, the infinity sign is a symbol of the inseparability of two principles - spiritual and material, symbolizing harmony and perfect balance, and was also used to denote justice.
In Chinese Feng Shui, it symbolizes good luck and wealth, so in the Celestial Empire it is customary to give earrings and “infinity” rings, wishing the recipient of the gift success and prosperity.
In India, the infinity sign symbolizes reincarnation, a constant and never-ending process of rebirth. Nothing is permanent, everything changes, but everything returns to normal; the beginning is the end and the end is the beginning. This is roughly how you can describe what the infinity sign means among magicians.
Ancient symbolism has always played a big role in people’s lives, because signs with a long and mysterious history and sacred meaning can give strength, energy, confidence and faith. It is believed that the infinity sign can help:
attract good luck;
find love;
find inner harmony and mental balance;
clear your mind of negativity;
fulfill cherished desires;
improve your financial condition.

Our life consists of many moments - joyful and sad, happy and tragic. From these moments the picture of our life is formed. Whether it will be positive and bright or negative and gloomy depends on the individual's perception of his own experiences. I paint every moment of my life on canvas with a dot. Thus, I cognize my true Self in the projection of the Universe.
My name is Ksenia, I'm from Ukraine. I am an artist and designer, graduated from art school and the Institute of Design. I own the classic technique of watercolor painting, black and white graphics ink and pen. My paintings were exhibited at the state exhibitions of Ukraine, there were also personal exhibitions. After graduation in 2006, I became fascinated with spiritual practices. And it completely changed my life. I moved to live in another country in Georgia. After a trip to India, I opened a mandala channel. In 2015, I began to draw mandalas in the Dot Painting technique. All the mandalas I paint in meditation. I never know what the mandala will look like at the end. Each mandala is unique. No mandala can be re-drawn, just as you can not return the last moment.
