This painting shows data visualization incorporating semiotic and non-linguistic information on the tessellated plane. The process evolves by reinterpreting and reshaping it through the proliferating abstraction. Each piece of work is open-ended, unfolding through the interplay of data, form, and perception while existing in a state of flux.

Kim is a cross-disciplinary artist, currently working on themes that illustrate the inter-genre connections between languages, mathematics, multisensory installations, and visual culture. Also, in many of Kim's works, drawing inspiration from the narrative and symbolism of ancient mythology, the thematic core renders the artwork as a contemporary relic or monument—an embodiment of the new antiquity.
