KOVEL's artistic journey is one of research into the language of art.
A figurative painter influenced by the surrealists, he achieved in successive stages (collage, sculpture on wood, stone, modeling, ceramics) to the creations of today.
His technique consists in using recycled materials (shipwrecked from industry to which he gives a second life) to make paintings in bas-relief, a mixture of arte povera strong>and ready made, which combines formal research and romantic evocations.
Having gradually carried out a work of purity, KOVEL creates compositions of 'a tiny finesse, evocations and no longer descriptions, in which he plays on the differences in materials, textures, oxidations, corrosions, patinas...
Work of formal and literal writing. plastic poems. Or how the writing of a work with delicacy can use raw and ordinary materials, as PREVERT's evocations use everyday words.
Unanimously recognized in artistic circles, KOVEL can continue its quest for a poetic absolute.
