Biography
Korakrit Arunanondchai is a Thai artist born in 1986 in Bangkok. He is known for his multidisciplinary work that spans painting, video, installation, and performance, often blending elements of Thai culture, technology, and spirituality. Arunanondchai studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and later earned an MFA from Columbia University in New York. His art frequently explores themes of identity, memory, and globalized media culture, often incorporating denim, a symbol of Western consumerism, in his work. Through his unique fusion of traditional and contemporary practices, he questions the nature of human existence in an increasingly digital and interconnected world. Arunanondchai has exhibited internationally, including at prominent venues such as the Venice Biennale, Palais de Tokyo, and MoMA PS1.
