Kiara Peelman is a contemporary Belgian painter. After experimenting with other styles, she began and adopted the hyperrealism with oil paint technique in 2019. After gaining the necessary confidence in the hyperrealism technique, Kiara discovers her own visual identity with a new approach such as the crumpled effect (Fragmented identities). When she plays with warm and cold colors, the intensity of the shadow to the light by adding depth and intensity for a rendering all in smoothness, she decides to paint truth without filters, with the apparent grain of skin.
Her painting shows the complexities of human fragility; although we can perceive the stigma, its beauty is unaffected. Anyone who is willing to listen will be able to understand the artist's simple but effective message through her seemingly anonymous portraits of people that reveal their true emotions. She has developed the ability to read people's emotions from the subtlety of their facial expressions rather than from their outward expressions.
