***One figure, a female, limp, rises diagonally to be greeted by the pair of hands that are ready to receive her. Head hairless, the woman is now at peace, set to move to that which lies ahead. Protest is in vain, just watch the child with arms reaching out, seeking comfort from that which he fails to understand.
And then stands the woman to the left, pregnant, perhaps overly pregnant, statuesque, comforted by the hand that presses one last time her swollen abdomen before departing. The colors shriek of warm pink, against which varied shades of blue, dark blue-purple and black are anchored.
Hints of green are found in the lone child to the right, who solemnly assists in the delivery to the next world. Colors are applied rather thinly to a course canvas (wide tooth weave), so that the texture of the weave is pronounced, leaving a rugged, somber effect
