Pixillated 4dx8 is an abstraction of the pixillations occurring in a super scale enlargement of a part of a kaleidoscopic image (the area represented here is less than 1/1000 of the main image, and gives absolutely no clue about the main image) There are several versions of the the super-enlarged image (Pixillated 4), each limited to 3 prints per version. In this version (4dx8) I have rendered the squares I was interested in in shades of red, brown, yellow and violet to give an earthy feel to this version.

Ken Lerner is a passionate photographic artist, born into a family of renowned photographers. He began taking photos at the age of 6, using a camera given to him by his father. But he was not interested in simply reproducing real life moments. His vision was more subjective and he sought to project an internal reality of that moment.

At the beginning of his career, he almost exclusively created images with multiple exposures. This gave a complex structure to the images and represented a subjective view of the world. In the 2010s, after working in financial product sales, he returned to photography producing only single exposure images. Even though they were less structurally complex, they still represented a subjective view of the world, being almost totally abstract. Ken works extensively with reflective surfaces such as water, glass and metal.

A lover of the beauty of nature, Ken Lerner paints and photographs a lot of landscapes and seascapes. He is interested in presenting different possibilities of representing "nature" and often produces many variations of an image with different colors, shades, contrasts and saturations.
