It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.
Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. Kat Gordon started painting at an early age. She is an award winning artist who studied under Kathleen Byrnes, Lane Stanley and Paula Allard, all well known RI artists and art teachers, who formed the bedrock of art clubs, galleries and instructional workshops.
Having moved on she studied at the Tonoff Gallery in Providence, R I. From there studied at the University of Rhode Island and the Community College of RI. She has since developed her art into what she calls the Planeism movement, using techniques beyond Cubism and Orphism movements to extend planes, create space and dimension using various media which include metal findings. The application of the paint varies from brushes, cloth and sponges to enhance contrast of etherial spaces and orbs, spheres and linear shapes. Many objects seem to project unseen plane lines beyond themselves.
