Karsten Stier
Karsten Stier Australian Award Winning artist specialising in Figurative, Social Commentary and Semi Abstract paintings.
My paintings usually revolve around the sociological, the psychological, the reality of existence, consciousness, the personalities of people, and our interaction with the world around us. That includes the Optical Illusion Paintings & Nature Paintings that I painted.
I like using Oil Paints for their vibrancy and dexterity. And of them not drying too fast, so I can manipulate the paint more accurately the way I want. I’ve studied all the major Painting/Art techniques and styles, and have always found that sticking with one particular artistic style or technique as being too restrictive. Thus I like to blend various different Techniques to combine a fusion of art styles within a painting. I especially like to bend the "rules" of the "do's and don'ts" of painting and designing.

I like to capture the fleeting glimpse that is usually experienced when a particular moment is seen in that first instant.
I’ve studied all the major techniques and styles and have always found that sticking with one particular artistic style or technique as being too restrictive, thus I like to bend the ‘rules’, and push beyond the boundaries. To experiment a lot more and incorporate the fusion of several techniques and styles. This gives me the freedom to remain more true to the mood of the artwork….
