Karola Kiss, a contemporary Hungarian painter, was born in 1972 in Fehérgyarmat, a city embraced by the Szamos and Tisza rivers. Her formative years, however, unfolded in Tunyogmatolcs, a place she fondly considers her hometown. The distinctive "Tunyogi" in her signature on paintings pays homage to this origin. Karola continued her education in Debrecen, where her artistic journey flourished.

Even in her childhood, Karola's artistic talent was evident, catching the attention of several well-known artists who recognized and nurtured her potential. Surrounded by these mentors, she privately honed various artistic skills, laying the foundation for her future endeavors.

In earlier stages of her life, Karola actively participated in numerous competitions, consistently achieving outstanding results. She has been a longstanding member of the Medgyessy Ferenc Artists Club in Debrecen and the Free Forming and Industrial Arts National Association, contributing to the vibrant artistic communities.

Karola Kiss held her first independent exhibition in Debrecen at the age of 15, marking the beginning of a prolific artistic career. Subsequent exhibitions showcased the evolution of her talent and the diverse range of her artistic expression.

While painting is her primary profession, Karola has also ventured into graphic arts and industrial design. Her creativity extends beyond visual arts, with her musical, literary, and poetic abilities evident in her presentations and works. Noteworthy contributions include book illustrations and decorative pieces.

In 2007, Karola received the regional outstanding award in the Hajdú-Bihar county, a recognition of her creative contributions. Today, she resides and creates in Debrecen, where her artistic endeavors continue to captivate audiences and enrich the cultural landscape.
