For the first time London based public art collaborative arrive in Los Angeles to ‘Turn Ad Space into Art Space’. From 13th - 28th February the travelling public will experience art by 28 established and emerging UK and US based artists, presented across dynamic billboards in Grand Union Station (red line).
Grand Union is California's largest and busiest station, serving almost 110,000 passengers a day and known as ‘America’s last great railway station’.
The participating artists demonstrate an eclectic mix of painters, photographers, street artists and illustrators and celebrate work from well known art world figures form both sides of the pond including Alison Jackson, Ben Eine, D*Face, Karen Bystedt and Hayden Kays.
To coincide with this public installation, the limited edition art will also be exhibited and available to purchase at Sur le Mur Gallery in West Hollywood's Pacific Design Center, Blue Building, Second Floor opening with a private view on 16th February (5 - 9pm)
The exhibition has been co curated by Ben Moore of Art Below and Megan Phillips, gallery director at Sur Le Mur Gallery and is the first of a series of exhibitions planned for 2017 and 2018
