ALLUSION Painting by Pascale Corones

After years of practicing oil painting, I now favor acrylics, which meet my need for spontaneity. I am increasingly moving towards painting with reduced drawings, focusing on the essentials. My gesture is spontaneous. I structure the masses and then refine the details.

Painting for me is something instinctive, the best means of expression and space of freedom offered to me. When I begin a painting, I never mentally visualize the result in advance.

The empirical use of color and form becomes the very substance and structure of my paintings rather than an illustration of them. By superimposing thin layers, each layer defining and shaping the next.

The elements of a canvas are based on ephemeral, fleeting images, born of imagination and experiences, not necessarily representative but suggested.

I only paint from positive impressions, so I I hope that it is this positive side that emerges from my creations.

I claim a living painting, beyond the barriers of abstraction-figuration, a timeless painting, a painting of impression, suggestion, silence, ambiance and atmosphere for a different vision of the world by placing on the canvas moments of happiness through a riot of colors.

I also take pleasure in passing on what was offered to me by giving painting classes within an association.

I also create creations on cork oak bark that I always decorate using colors, in an intuitive way. Some of these pieces are mounted as lamps and offer a warm and exceptional atmosphere. These artistic creations are decorative objects, unique and original pieces.
