Juliana Voloder is a contemporary Croatian painter and sculptor. Over the past 20 years, she has mastered the technique of sculpting using molten glass, and recently became interested in crystal resin. Voloder’s latest research involves a combination of melted glass and liquid polyester; she uses it to make sculptures of female nudes, which is a common motif of her work. In addition to sculpture, she is interested in portrait painting, finding it as a true expression of the energy, individualization and psychology of the character.
Juliana Voloder was born in 1964, in Croatia, where she graduated from The Academy of Fine Arts Zagreb, as an academic sculptor. Since then, she has been working as a high school professor at the School of Fine Arts in the sculpture department.
