View allThe painting grew into a triptych, each panel dedicated to one of these glorious garden berries. I wanted to convey not just their visual beauty, but the sensory experience they provided—the tangy burst of a ripe red currant, the velvety lushness of a raspberry, and the complex bittersweetness of a blackberry.
