I'm from New York & have been living in Paris for more than 25 years.
In N.Y. I was a fashion illustrator, graduating from Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) & then working for many fashion companies, illustrating the latest trends. My longest & favorite job was for Tobé Associates, a bible in the fashion industry. I also freelanced for some of the top fashion houses.
When I came to Paris, it became difficult to find work in this field as my style of drawing was very American (detailed) & didn't conform to the free image of what the French appreciate. I understood this concept and found that even though I couldn't do this myself at that time, I was able to teach it! So that's what I did for several years at a now closed fashion school called Fashion Forum.
I discovered that I truly loved teaching & besides giving private drawing lessons, which I still do, I also taught English in major French companies. I really enjoyed doing this but with my retirement, I returned to my real passion which is drawing...especially nudes.
My aim is to become freer in my style & to develop my use of color which I hope you will see as time goes by!
