I was born on April 16, 1961 in Boulogne-sur-Mer in Pas-de-Calais where I spent part of my childhood until June 1973, when I arrived in Normandy in Eure. Very young, I already liked to scribble sheets of paper.

From 1984 to 1988 I attended evening classes at the School of Fine Arts in Rouen, the first two years in Drawing class and the following two in Painting class. It was during these first two years of drawing that I discovered the dry pastel technique, which I have been practicing 90% since then.

My favorite themes are mainly focused on the beauty, the colors and the enchantment of nature. So I am a realistic landscape pastelist and I am sometimes called impressionist.

I often work in the studio based on the pictures I have the opportunity to take during nature walks because humidity is the worst enemy of dry pastel. When the weather is favorable, it is a real pleasure for me to set up my easel in nature accompanied by the melodious song of birds, the sound of running water from a river or simply the wind in the trees.
