Born in Baracaldo, Vizcaya (1959). From an early age he showed interest in drawing and painting, channelling his interest initially towards decoration, enrolling in the Institute of Decorative Arts in Bilbao at the age of sixteen, where he began to learn the basics of drawing, colour theories, composition and creativity, and it is there where he learnt the technique of watercolour. Years later he went to the Museum of Artistic Reproductions in Bilbao where, under the guidance of the painter Manuel Balsa, he learned to draw the human figure with ease and to learn in depth the techniques of painting, including watercolour, which would become the protagonist at the beginning of his career, which would be reinforced by the achievement of what would be his first outstanding award at the XLV Alava Art Competition, an event that would lead to his first solo exhibition. At that time he had already changed his residence from his hometown to the town of Artziniega, Alava, where he would develop his work as a painter. From this moment on, his career became consolidated and he began to exhibit his work, initially in his surroundings but soon throughout the state. It was then that he began to give introductory painting courses both in his place of residence and in neighbouring towns.
His work can be found in numerous private collections and in public collections, such as the Caja Vital de Vitoria, the Caja de Ahorros Municipal de Pamplona, the Town Hall of Villaviciosa de Odón, the Town Hall of Arenas de San Pedro, the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Infanta Elena, Tomelloso, the Illustrious College of Lawyers of the Lordship of Vizcaya, the Bodega Las Copas – González Byass Jerez, etc.
