It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.
Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. My name is Jose Agube, a Nigerian artist from the Efik tribe. Growing up, I was always drawn to images, stories, and the quiet power they held. Art came naturally to me—I started drawing as a child, simply out of curiosity and the need to express things I couldn’t always say out loud. Over time, it became more than a hobby. In 2016, I began taking my art seriously, putting in the time to study, practice, and refine my style.
My culture plays a big role in how I see the world and how I create. The boldness, rhythm, and emotion in Efik traditions continue to inspire how I tell stories through my work. I mainly use pen as my medium, focusing on the human body—its form, presence, and what it can say without words. My art often leans into themes of sensuality, identity, silence, and strength. I try to create pieces that speak not just to the eyes, but to something deeper—something that makes you feel, reflect, or even question.
Art, for me, is not just about creating beautiful images. It’s a way of breathing, remembering, and connecting. It’s how I make sense of the world and invite others into that experiences
