John Donica is a cinematographer and photographer. He works on documentary and fiction films, music videos, creative videos, and other video productions.
Addressing particularly the themes of women and nudity in nature and at home, his work is distinguished by new and visionary lighting.
John Donica was born in Moldova, he is currently based in Tokyo. He graduated from the Academy of Music Theater and Fine Arts, specialty - film director and editor. Master's degree in 2012. His works have been selected for many international film festivals like IDFA, Vision du Reel, Montenegro, Busan ISFF, Cronograf, DocuArtFest, East Silver, and others. He has received many awards: Winner in the category "Fine Art Nude" at 1x Photo Awards 2011, Best Director at the MIFEC Film festival in Porto, first place at the photography contest "Beyond words" organized by the "Punkt" magazine 2009…
