FRAGMENTS FROM THE PAST… Between strength and fragility.
I grew up in Bayonne, which I left in 1981 to expatriate for 27 years in Africa and the Middle East, where I work as a teacher.
Back in the Basque Country in 2013, I discovered the magic of clay and from a simple hobby, sculpture became a passion.
Ancient statuary is a great source of inspiration, but sometimes I get away from it all on the theme of childhood and there again, on its fragility.
Model, manufacture, create...
In 2017, encouraged by my relatives, I participated in the Halsou exhibition and obtained a first prize for sculpture. What joy!
Since then, I have taken part in several exhibitions and the exchanges with artists and art lovers are very enriching for me.
Last exhibition: Brouillarta 2018. Price of the city of Biarritz, 3rd price of sculpture.
It is a great honor and a great pleasure to see my work rewarded.
Sculpture is a different means of expression, a sensitive and profound language that even the richest, best-turned language can never replace.
Each of these sculptures tells a story, which everyone hears with their sensitivity.
