Joel Blanchon is a professional photographer who favors framing, aesthetics, light and colors. He tackles all the subjects while trying to bring out a homogeneous style. He prefers to show the aspects of life against the current vision: speed, stress, virtual, etc...
He tries to capture the subject in a particular situation or in a strange environment, to seek a certain aesthetic and to leave room for emotion and daydreaming.
By photographing associations of unusual objects he composes a mysterious image with the most common motifs and at the same time he hopes to lead the most reluctant spectators towards abstraction. It is for him the ideal way to connect the figurative to the abstract and not to oppose them.
Joel Blanchon is a self-taught artist who lives and works in Normandy (France). His work is present in many private collections.
