Antes de terminar o ano, apresento-vos mais um trabalho, desta feita, a óleo. O título é "Praia do Barranco ao Nascer do Sol". Ficou concluído no passado dia 15 de dezembro, tem 29 cm de altura por 42 cm de largura e é mais uma incursão na temática das paisagens naturais algarvias. Também este fica à vossa apreciação, podendo ser vosso por um preço módico. A paisagem natural, especialmente do sul de Portugal é um dos temas preferidos. Temáticas como esta vão sendo exploradas com novos materiais e técnicas à medida que as vou descobrindo, daí que possa afirmar que vocês estão de certa forma a fazer este percurso evolutivo comigo.
Não cresci sonhando ser artista, mas sempre a arte e a cultura me fascinaram. Após muitos anos a navegar por outras paragens, eis que me aproximo destes mundos de sonho. O desenho e a pintura são as formas de arte que mais me fascinam e nas quais há alguns anos que, tímida e algo desajeitadamente, tenho vindo a explorar. O desenho e a pintura são portas para mundos sempre subjetivos onde o artista nos deixa ver um pouco de si, mesmo quando representa realidades exteriores à sua mente. O desenho e a pintura são caminhos que nos levam para os jardins secretos de cada artista plástico. A sua beleza não reside exatamente no que retrata, mas na forma como põe de si naquilo que representa, mesmo que não seja figurativo.
